Your body can and will go through a series of changes as you make your way through life. Sometimes life events can bring about a shift in one’s bodily appearance. In other cases, it may be due to simple genetics.

In any instance, the breast uplift procedure is a great solution for patients who have experienced a loss of volume in their natural breast tissue as a result of issues like:

  • Weight loss
  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • The natural aging process

The Breast Uplift Procedure

Your breast uplift surgery will be carried out under general anaesthetic and will likely involve an overnight stay in one of our private hospital partners. Before your procedure, your surgeon will meet with you and discuss all of the relevant details, helping you to gain an understanding of what you can expect from your results and also what to expect from the procedure itself.

The surgical technique used in your breast lift procedure will be chosen according to your body type and your personal cosmetic goals, and your surgeon will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is tailored according to these unique details. In most cases, a breast lift takes between one and three hours to complete, after which you’ll recover in hospital.

Most breast lift surgeries involve an incision that will guide the reshaping of the breast and allow for a new, more youthful placement of the nipple. The nipple and areola will be moved thusly, and the skin will be tightened and reshaped in a way that uplifts and properly repositions the breast. Sutures will be used to carefully close the incisions.

Recovering After Your Surgery

Recovery from breast uplift surgery can take up to six weeks. You’ll need to significantly limit your activities for the first two weeks, during which time you’ll experience bruising, swelling, and some moderate discomfort. We’ll help you out with any medications you might need to adequately manage your pain, and ensure that you have as pleasant a recovery experience as possible.

You’ll wear bandages and a surgical bra for the first week after your procedure, which will then be replaced by a supportive bra that enables us to help ensure your ideal results. We’ll schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your healing progress, and you’ll be given detailed aftercare instructions before your procedure.
