How Breast Reduction Can Help
Breast reduction is ideal for patients who feel as though their breasts are too large to be proportionate with the rest of their body, or whose large breasts have been causing them physical discomfort. This procedure is also suitable if you find you have one breast which is larger than the other, to reintroduce an overall sense of symmetry to your bust.
Many women are extremely happy with their new breasts following breast reduction, which is cited as one of the most satisfying of all surgical procedures. Women also frequently report an improvement in shoulder, neck, and back pain, and enhanced posture.

The Breast Reduction Procedure
Breast reduction is usually carried out under a general anaesthetic and will involve an overnight stay in one of our partner hospitals. In most cases, the procedure takes about two hours to complete and can be performed with a variety of incision placements.
During your consultation, your surgeon will talk you through all of the relevant details regarding your procedure, including incision placement and what you can expect in terms of scarring once your recovery is complete.
In some instances, the nipple will need to be repositioned in order to maintain a natural look, which will be discussed with you prior to your operation. This can sometimes result in a loss of sensation to the nipple.
