Your Expert Breast Augmentation Practitioners

Elanic is one of the only clinics in Glasgow whose experienced practitioners can perform a breast augmentation procedure in just one day, utilising our state-of-the-art day surgery unit and local anaesthetic with sedation. This eliminates your need for an overnight stay in the hospital and allows you to have your surgery and be home recovering the same day. For more complex procedures, surgery can also be carried out under general anaesthesia at one of our private, partnership hospitals. Schedule your appointment at the Elanic location most convenient for you.

The Benefits of a Breast Enlargement

Your reasons for having a breast enlargement will be personal to you, and at Elanic we respect this and will discuss your individual circumstances with you during your consultation with the surgeon. There are several benefits that come along with investing in a breast enlargement including:

  • Increased overall confidence in your appearance
  • The ability to wear clothing you've previously not felt comfortable in
  • A more feminine feeling
  • Breasts that are more in proportion with the rest of your body
  • Restoring volume that may have been lost due to breastfeeding or substantial weight loss

3D Imaging Technolgy by Vectra

Vectra is a 3D imaging camera system that allows your own body to be captured in 3D and then visualised on screen. It is then possible to select implants from Mentor and to see how your results might look with a given set of implants. Not only can you choose what size will best suit your proportions and body type, but you can also narrow down your choices in terms of shape, profile, and position.

You will be able to see how you will look in different types of clothes, with different sizes of implants. We believe that Vectra is a fantastic educational tool, allowing clients to take the guesswork out of choosing their implant size. We believe this is an essential part of your consultation and as such, we include a Vectra scan free of charge to all our breast augmentation clients.

Customising Your Treatment Plan

During your consultation, your surgeon will discuss all the important details of your procedure with you, including implant size, type, and placement. Elanic has access to state-of-the-art 3D body imaging software, which allows you to see what your potential results will look like. This gives you an unparalleled amount of power when it comes to finding the perfect implants for you.

Elanic uses high-quality Mentor implants from Johnson & Johnson, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of breast implants. These implants are available in different shapes and profiles, depending on your personal situation and desired outcome. At Elanic, you’ll be able to choose from a staff of dedicated surgeons, and your consultant will advise you on what implant and positioning are best.

High-Quality Breast Implants by Johnson & Johnson

At Elanic we only use Mentor breast implants by Johnson and Johnson®. From such a respected household name, you can expect the finest quality implants available. Due to the quality of Mentor breast implants, we are able to offer one of the most comprehensive warranty packages available and unlike most clinics, we are crystal clear on what we do cover, and what we don’t. Every breast augmentation procedure is covered by the following warranties:

One Year

One year of coverage against any complications including infection, implant rupture, malposition, and seroma—we will conduct your surgery for free in the event of any of these problems in the first year after surgery.

Three Years

Three years of coverage against capsular contracture. We will conduct your exchange of implants for free in the event that you suffer Grade III or Grade IV capsular contracture in the first three years after your surgery.

10 Years

Ten years of coverage against capsular contracture. Mentor will provide free implants if you experience Grade III or IV capsular contracture within 10 years of your surgery. Surgical costs will be met by the patient. (A contribution of 1000 euros and free breast implants are provided by Johnson and Johnson as part of this warranty.)

Mentor Patientcare Promise Lifetime

This limited warranty means that at any stage if you suffer an implant rupture, then Mentor will provide you with a replacement set of breast implants, but not pay for the procedure.

These warranties are operated by Johnson and Johnson Ltd, are outwith the control of Elanic Ltd, and are subject to change. These warranties are international and can be used with any provider. Your warranties are covered both by Elanic Ltd and by your surgeon, therefore if Elanic was ever to cease trading your cover will still exist with your surgeon.

What's Involved in a Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation is a popular choice among women who desire larger breasts, those who wish to correct a size discrepancy between the breasts, or those interested in replacing breast tissue lost after pregnancy or weight loss. Breast enlargement surgery (also known as breast augmentation) can be achieved using silicone breast implants or through the injection of a patient's own fat.

In some cases, implants can also be used after a mastectomy to restore the breast. We use both round and teardrop-shaped breast implants, depending on the type of look you want from your breast augmentation. Your surgeon will discuss your options with you and will recommend the most appropriate type and size for your physique.

At Elanic we can offer breast enlargement at our purpose-built clinic in the centre of Glasgow on a day case surgery basis. Under sedation and local anaesthetic, you can have your procedure in Elanic and be home recovering in your own bed on the very same day. To learn more, reach out to our call centre and schedule your consultation with a member of our staff.

When to Consider Breast Augmentation

As part of your consultation, your surgeon will carry out a detailed examination of your physical characteristics, recommending the surgical technique and implant size that will be best for you and your personal cosmetic goals.

You will most likely benefit from a breast augmentation if:

  • You are self-conscious about the size of your breasts
  • Your breasts have become smaller and less shapely because of pregnancy or after losing weight
  • You have one breast that is notably smaller than the other (asymmetry)

The Day of Your Procedure

At Elanic, we perform breast enlargement as a day case surgery, under sedation and local anesthetic. The procedure typically takes between one and two hours, meaning you’ll be able to recover in the comfort of your own home with 24/7 support provided by our dedicated nursing staff.

After your surgery, you’ll need to arrange for someone to pick you up and stay with you for up to 24 hours. You’ll need to wear a compression garment for a relatively short period of time, as this will aid in your recovery process and ensure an ideal result from your surgery. You’ll get thorough aftercare instructions before your procedure.

Your Recovery and Results

As a rule, we would recommend that you take two weeks off from work and avoid any strenuous lifting exercise for at least six weeks post-surgery. Please bear in mind that everyone heals differently and you should take your recovery at your own pace.

You will have some localised pain and swelling after your procedure and will be provided with adequate pain relief and advice from your nurse. You will be seen by your surgeon one week after surgery for review.

After two weeks the initial bruising and swelling will be reduced and this will continue for the following weeks. Six to nine months after your surgery, your scars will fade, the implants will have settled into position, and you will enjoy your final result.
