At Elanic our Surgeon uses the most advanced technique for hair transplantation called FUE (Follicle Unit Extraction). This technique is more complicated and technically demanding than the follicle unit transplant (FUT) which involves a long scar and an unpredictable, clumpy appearance. With FUE very small hair units, less than a millimetre in diameter are removed from widespread areas of the scalp and transferred using tiny needles to the areas of baldness.
FUE has a number of advantages over existing techniques:
The scarring from where the hair is removed is minuscule and barely discernable
The hairs are transferred and grafted into their new position leaving a much more natural-looking result with the angle of the hair matching that of the existing hair
It is equally applicable to small and large areas
There is no telltale long scar where the hair was removed from, which occurs with FUT
FUE is the most pain-free method of hair transplantation
Typically smaller areas such as the receding hairline and crown patch can be treated, as well as more extensive areas. Our lead Surgeon Mr Viljem Topcic has carried out these procedures weekly for a number of years and has gained the experience necessary to give you an excellent result from your procedure.
