Richard is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. He specialises in cosmetic surgery, breast surgery and skin cancer surgery. Richard is also a Consultant in NHS Forth Valley. He has been working in Plastic Surgery since 2003 and has undertaken several fellowships developing expertise in certain areas – a Head and Neck Fellowship where he gained experience in surgery of the face, eyelids, ears and nose; a skin cancer fellowship where he trained in all aspects of skin cancer treatment including Mohs’ Surgery; and most recently in breast surgery fine tuning skills in all forms of breast reshaping and reconstruction.
Richard is on the GMC Specialist Register as a Plastic Surgeon.
Richard graduated from Glasgow University in 1998 and after undertaking basic surgical training started his career in plastic surgery. He undertook much of his plastic surgery training in the world famous Canniesburn Plastic Surgery unit and in 2004 started a research degree in skin cancer leading to the award of an MD research degree along with the publication of several scientific papers. In 2007 he was appointed to the Pan-Scotland Plastic Surgery training scheme and has spent time in Dundee, Belgium, Detroit and Norwich developing specialist skills in breast surgery, cosmetic surgery and skin cancer surgery. He was successful in obtaining one of the highly sought after Training Interface group fellowships in 2013. Richard moved to NHS Forth Valley in 2014 to set up breast reconstruction services where he also undertakes skin cancer surgery and provides general reconstructive services. Richard is one of few plastic surgeons trained in oncoplastic breast surgery and even fewer trained in Mohs’ surgery.

Moorthy is a consultant oral & maxillofacial surgeon based at the Regional Maxillofacial Surgery Unit, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital & Royal Hospital for Children (Formerly known as Southern General Hospital & Yorkhill Hospital respectively) Glasgow.
Moorthy completed his Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship in the UK and as a junior trainee he worked with several eminent maxillofacial surgeons at London, North Wales, Swansea & Cambridge.
He completed medical & surgical training (MBChB & MRCS) at Birmingham and was appointed to West Midland Maxillofacial specialist training programme, which lasted 5 years. During this time he has been exposed to full breadth of Cranio-facial, head & neck surgeries. This included oral/skin cancer removal, reconstruction facial trauma, facial deformity correction, microvascular surgeries of face/neck, facial cosmetic surgeries, jaw joint surgeries & implantology.
Moorthy decided to move to Scotland where he took up a consultant post at University Hospital Crosshouse, Kilmarnock and has subsequently been appointed as a consultant surgeon with sub-specialty interest in Craniofacial, TMJ & Facial deformity surgeries at Glasgow.
In his private practice, Moorthy’s interests include full range of Maxillofacial surgery i.e. wisdom teeth/oral surgery, jaw/chin disproportions, removal of facial skin lesions/lumps, facial scar revision, facial aesthetic surgery such as Facelifts, Blepharoplasty, Rhinoplasty (Nose Jobs), Facial contouring / Reshaping.

David is a Consultant at the internationally renowned Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow. He has over a decade of experience in Plastic Surgery and laser surgery and during this time was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine degree for research into laser treatments.
David has been elected by BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon) to serve as a council member for Scotland from 2016-2018. BAPRAS is a leading professional body within the Cosmetic Surgery industry.

Arup has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1994 and is currently a Consultant at Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit on the NHS as well as his Private Practice. Arup is on the GMC Specialist Register as a Plastic Surgeon and is a member of BAPRAS and BAAPS. Arup has previously been a Council member of BAPRAS, Clinical Director at Canniesburn and is an examiner for Plastic Surgeons finishing their training. Arup specialises in all aspects of Cosmetic surgery, in particular rhinoplasty and breast surgery. Arup also specializes in reconstructive surgery, including breast reconstruction and skin cancer.

Vivek is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and our Medical Director. He specialises in cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, skin cancer and laser surgery. Vivek was previously an NHS Plastic Surgeon, before leaving the NHS to start the Elanic Clinic. Vivek has numerous research publications and presentations, a research degree, is a published author and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow. Vivek is on the GMC Specialist Register as a Plastic Surgeon.
Vivek graduated as a doctor from Edinburgh University in 1997 before working in the professorial departments of medicine and surgery in Glasgow. He was selected to work at the University College London Hospital under the tutelage of the Professor of Plastic Surgery. Following this he returned to Glasgow to further his training and qualified as a surgeon in 2001. Vivek has spent 14 years in plastic surgery. He was appointed to the highly competitive London Training Scheme in 2003 before moving once again to Glasgow to complete his training at the internationally renowned Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit. Vivek became an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit, Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 2009. In the NHS Vivek specialised in breast plastic surgery and reconstruction using microsurgical techniques and laser surgery. Vivek also specialised in facial aesthetic surgery for patients with severe acne scarring using both facelifts and laser surgery. Vivek was also a member of the Clyde Combined Skin Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team with local dermatologists.
In 2013 Vivek left the NHS to open the Elanic Clinic on Bath Street and now works solely in Private Practice.

Vivek has published 20 research papers and presented his work around the world including in Los Angeles, Florence and Thailand. He has a total of 22 presentations at national and international meetings and was awarded scholarships to attend the American and international laser meetings. His work was selected as being amongst the best presented at the 2003 American meeting.
To learn specialist surgical techniques Vivek has spent time training in Tokyo, Taipei and Melbourne.
Vivek is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Glasgow University Medical School and is regularly involved in teaching trainee surgeons about plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons.
Vivek is a Full Member of BAPRAS, The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and BAAPS, The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
In 2013 Vivek was specially selected to give evidence on the current state of cosmetic treatments and clinics in Scotland to the Scottish Executive, who are currently investigating this sector. Vivek has been a long time campaigner for increasing regulation in cosmetic medicine and surgery and conducts regular medical reports on behalf of solicitors for patients injured by cosmetic treatments from other providers.
In 2013, after being disappointed with the provision for cosmetic medicine and surgery in Scotland, Vivek took the important step of opening his own clinic in Glasgow. The Elanic Clinic is built on an American model and allows clients to be treated in a modern and luxurious setting and access the very latest in beauty, aesthetic and surgical care.

Iain has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1996 and specialises in laser surgery as well as Cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery and skin cancer. Iain is one of the UK’s leading laser surgeons and has been invited to lecture around the World on laser surgery. Iain has previously been in charge of training all plastic surgery trainees in Scotland and currently sits on the Board which set the standards for newly qualified Plastic Surgeons.

Paul is a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary as well as being the chairman of the Skills Committee in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Paul has a special interest in the treatment of varicose veins and he is able to offer the VNUS closure procedure, Clarivein treatment and foam sclerotherapy.

Andy was a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and is currently a Consultant in Anesthetics and Intensive Care.
