Fine wrinkles and some of the milder signs of ageing skin can be improved with a combination of muscle relaxing injections, facial fillers, advanced skin care products and laser facial rejuvenation. However, by far the most successful way of improving wrinkles, acne scarring, ageing skin texture and sun damage is with laser resurfacing.
Elanic surgeons have more than a decade’s experience of treating acne scarring and we have invested some of the most advanced wrinkle resurfacing technology.
What is laser wrinkle resurfacing?
Resurfacing means removing the superficial layers of skin so that a new, healthier, younger-looking skin can form. At Elanic we use the CO2RE laser, one of the world’s most effective lasers. The laser is used with local anaesthetic cream and causes sunburn-type symptoms for the first few days, which takes two to three weeks to resolve.
This state of the art device makes thousands of microscopic holes in the skin, resulting in deep collagen formation and marked skin tightening. This device gives better results but with a much quicker recovery time than old-style lasers.
