Our Lead Consultant, Mr Vivek Sivarajan, is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon specialising in facial, breast and laser surgery.
Vivek is a full Member of BAPRAS - The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons
Vivek holds a number of qualifications including:
MB ChB – Qualification as a Doctor
MRCS – Qualification as a Surgeon
MD – Postgraduate Doctorate awarded from the University of Edinburgh following 2 years of Research in Aesthetic Laser Surgery
FRCS(Plast) – Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in Plastic Surgery
Vivek is on the GMC Specialist Register as a Plastic Surgeon
Vivek was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the World-renowned Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. In the NHS Vivek specialises in Breast Reconstruction using microsurgical techniques and Laser Surgery. Vivek also undertakes Facial Aesthetic Surgery for patients with severe acne scarring. Vivek conducts outpatient clinics at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley and is a member of the Combined Skin Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team with local dermatologists.
Vivek is also an Honourary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow Medical School. Vivek supervisors a University Research Surgeon looking at the blood supply in Surgical Procedures. It is hoped this work will add to our knowledge and improve the safety of microvasular free tissue transfer. Vivek also regularly teaches both Trainee Surgeons and Medical Students about Plastic Surgery.

If you go ahead with an operation, it will be carried out by Vivek. Your procedure will not be carried out by a trainee surgeon.
