Scar Revision
All injuries and operations leave permanent scars. Once a scar has formed it cannot be removed, although most scars fade with time and may leave a fine pale line, which is hard to see. Some scars, however, can become indented, raised, and remain red and fiery (hypertrophic) or can become thick, bulky and painful (keloid).
Although a scar cannot be removed, it may be possible to improve on the scar you have, leaving a finer scar, which will settle better: indented scars may be treated with fat injections or laser treatment, and red scars can also be faded with a laser. Thick and bulky scars may be improved using special dressings or injections.
